and power..yay for electricity. I just went through "the worst storm western washington has ever seen" I dunno about that but it sure was crazy. went outside on thursday night, and the rain was being blown so hard that you couldnt see a thing. looked exactly like a hurricane. It was like a flash flood. There were lakes freakin EVERYWHERE. traffic was gridlock. It took my dad and I 4 1/2 hours to go to the store that normally would have taken oh..about..10-15 minutes? then..then came the wind. it was supposed to be hurricane force winds (and in the northwest that aint real common) it started..uh.. i dunno, but i noticed it at about midnight. The trees outside my window were bending and waving crazily. Kinda scary actually concidering im totally surounded by trees. And all night long there were snappings and crackalings. My windows (which open out) were being ripped open and slammed against my house. Crazy. and apparently over 1 million people in the seattle area lost power. It was rather pretty though, you could see the transformers were blowing all night long, beautiful blue and green lights all over the sky. So we were out of power for about..uh.. two or three days now. but man. that sucks. it wouldnt have been that bad exept that my grandpa had a heart attack or sumthin so he couldnt go back to where he was living before, so he came to live with us. he is deteriorating so rapidly that we can barely take care of him. hes like 89 I think. So we lost power in the process of taking care of someone who is like a giant baby ( and all due respect to him, I dont mean that as an insult or anything) but its hard.
